Renovations at the Bay

The retaining wall, gravel, dirt and drains are all done. Perhaps we should plant some ferns in celebration?

The remaining corrogate external cladding is on the way up. Hopefully, next week it will all be done.

And another from the wall paper collection.

We have feature wall in the main lounge covered in new wall paper - point of difference and all that. It looks really good in the flesh.

The extension has new soffits so all the underfloor insulation is now safely encased.

Almost forgot, the apallingly built retaining wall that we inherited is no more. In it’s place is a new wall built properly using concrete and treated timber. Nice.

Here are the new steps leading from the driveway.

There is a new platform leading from the entrance steps to a smaller set connecting the driveway. Even better, the magic rubbish bin system works more efficiently.

Simon has been busy. The kitchen has a new red feature wall. The rest of the kitchen will be renovated when we’ve recovered from the current job (money and well-being wise).

The big brown beam is spruced up with a coat of the ever reliable white paint. 

The new retaining wall as asked for by the council has been built.

The abominations that were bi-folding doors in the master bedroom wardrobe have been totally repurposed. Good call that Geoff.

His bunks are back together with hot wheels bedding.

The boy got spots (which match the wall colours somehow).
